Forced Hiatus

Hiatus Cover

As many of you know I’ve been trying so hard to raise the funds needed for my baby’s delivery, which is coming in just 7-8 weeks or less! You also know I have very limited sight, straining my eye on a daily basis to balance work, sending out S.O.S messages for the GoFundMe and posting here on The Flash Fiction Ponder.

So far I’ve barely made any progress with the campaign, even though it’s for a good cause, the success or failure of it meaning the difference  between my baby being born in a decent hospital or one that is plagued by Third World conditions in this Third World country I’m in.

If I were back home in the U.S. I’d hit the streets with a homemade sign plastered across my chest, but if I did so here they’d just look at me like I was crazy.

If I push my vision too far I won’t be able to see anything, so at this point I have no choice but to put in more time reaching out to potential heroes (not that there’s any sign it’s actually going to pay off, but what else can I do?!) and thus taking a forced hiatus from the blog. Hate to do so, as writing you all stories of substance is my passion and life’s work, but I really have no other choice right now.

If there’s any heroes out there who’d like to join the crusade here’s a few things you can do to help…

  • Share this GoFundMe link on your social media.
  • Tell friends, family, that dude standing next to you in line about it.
  • Actually donate. Any amount helps.
  • Use your power & creativity to help the campaign go viral, going from hero to superhero for my baby, the story of your wonderful kindness forever told within The lamoureux Family and possibly in history! (Really! My son will be going for the world record later, for the title The World’s Youngest Published Author. And who knows beyond that, with this father/son blog we will continue to build together.)

Hindsight is 20/20.

Foresight is being

amongst the first

to jump on the bandwagon.
