FADE IN:

(DURING THE OPENING GUITAR)

EXT. SIDEWALK – NIGHT

At foot level an empty sidewalk, the backs of two pairs of boots come down for a landing upon the pavement and continue walking without breaking stride.

Rotating around to the front of the two pairs of boots we now start to track back as they walk forward, widening the shot was to reveal…

The holding of hands.

The two are wearing all black.

The heavy music SLAMS IN as we reach the point of being able to see them in their entirety. A guy and a girl.

They walk into a medium shot. The girl stops. Something in a window catches her attention.

Through the window, a couple having dinner in a restaurant. Laughing. Eating. Savoring every bite.

LYRICS

Once again united

The girl watches in sorrow.

LYRICS

and yet so far away

The guy she is with looks to her. Saddened by the fact that he can’t do anything for her, he just places a consoling hand on her shoulder.

LYRICS

Together we watch this evening

Her sorrow turns to anger.

LYRICS

as it slowly turns to day

With no warning she CRASHES through the plate glass window and clears the table with one swift movement of her arm, sending the food to the floor while shocking the dining couple.

LYRICS

Our souls are on fire

She flips the table over.

As quickly as she entered she’s gone, a waiter looking out the shattered window but finding no one.

LYRICS

Burning like a million suns

EXT. A HILLTOP – DAWN

6 Cycle Mind performs.

LYRICS

Why do we collide

Collide into each other

EXT. HOUSE – NIGHT

Close-up of a TV screen. On the tube, a sunrise.

An open palm is placed against the TV screen.

LYRICS

Why do we believe

A single red tear rolls down the girls cheek.

LYRICS

in a truth we can’t unravel

CUT TO:

The band playing their instruments.

CUT TO:

EXT, CONDEMNED BUILDING – PREDAWN

The girl and guy stand together, holding hands nervously in a condemned half-standing building looking out as the night starts to creep away.

LYRICS

Together taking chances

to find out what could be

Pull back and rotate camera around 180° to reveal they are hanging upside down, standing on the ceiling.

LYRICS

Is this an illusion

or a new reality

EXT. HILLTOP – DAWN

6 Cycle Mind.

LYRICS

Our souls are on fire

burning like a million suns

INT. CONDEMNED BUILDING – NIGHT

The guy rushes the girl in anger.

She lifts up off the ground as his force pushes her back, as if they were no gravity.

She uses his momentum to fling him around, sending him CRASHING into a concrete wall, the impact cracking the stone all around him.

LYRICS

Why do we collide

Collide into each other

EXT. MIDDLE OF CITY STREET – NIGHT

CrossCutting between the two (opposite sides) as they walk alone down the middle of a city street. The world around them goes by fast to represent them being stuck in time.

LYRICS

Why do we believe

in a truth we can’t unravel

EXT. MIDDLE OF THE STREET – LATER

The guy and girl’s mirrored hands reach out for one another. Their fingers interlaced.

LYRICS

I can feel you

running in my veins

The fingers of their other two hands interlace.

LYRICS

driving me insane

They start to lift up off the ground and levitate up into the sky.

LYRICS

Nothing seems the same

High above the city surrounded by the night’s stars with fingers still interlaced they stretch their arms out to their sides, forming a cross.

LYRICS

I can fill you running in my veins

The began to rotate.

LYRICS

driving me insane

There rotation starts to speed up.

LYRICS

Help me ease my pain

Spinning fast.

Faster.

It’s like there a perfect cross.

EXT. HILLTOP – DAWN

6 Cycle Mind. (From second half of INSTRUMENTAL SECTION)

LYRICS

Why do we collide

Collide into each other

Why do we believe

in a truth we can’t unravel

Why do we collide

Collide into each other

Why do we believe

in a truth we can’t unravel

Start to crane back.

Revealing there below the hilltop lies a graveyard.

Graveyard at dawn, for music video script Collide, song by 6 Cycle Mind, script written by Rico Lamoureux of The Flash Fiction Ponder.

CUT TO:

Extreme close-up of a laughing mouth, inhabited by a pair of fangs. (As the heavy BEAT leaves)

Pull back to reveal it’s the guy. Beside him, the girl smiles, her fangs exposed as well, as they walk down the middle of a deserted street together, arm in arm.

Crane back and up as they walk away, their backs to the camera. (She rests her head on his shoulder)
